One of the most fulfilling and most challenging journeys you will ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. Perhaps you are in shape, totally out of shape, or simply hoping to lose some weight. Nonetheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that is very healthy, and lets you truly love every last tiny inch of it truly is a dazzling journey to try.

So what is the real key to making an enduring change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table every single day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you will become unmotivated and discouraged. As an alternative understand you are contesting with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every time you do, you should come back with a dedication to achieving something you've always strongly desire. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each day. Without it, you may suffer the the inevitable and bad reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each single year on making the body of their dreams because they are missing the personal power to keep on coming back again and againand again.

Commitment also is evoked, but not the commitment that you're probably thinking of. In our world, we are fed this idea that everything must happen right now and if it does not actually occur now, it is not worthwhile. Your body is going to change throughout all the years, so why don't you make a lifelong dedication to staying healthy? Is that a sexy marketable idea? Not particularly. But is it something that would really change the course of your life? Definitely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy all throughout your whole life, you'll eventually reach whatever goal you wish. It is all about seeing the big picture than merely the few months in front of you until summer. It is about developing something that you can be pleased with forever. For me, that concept made my life different as I was able to eventually hit my fitness goals after 12 years of struggling with my body image and food issues. But as soon as I shifted my world view of what I was attempting to accomplish, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it's working for you. Make a lifelong commitment to keeping healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term too.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change drastically.
